After being painfully and disappointedly eliminated from the Amici di Maria De Filippa through tele-voting last Saturday, Maltese singer Emma Muscat took a moment to look back at her Amici journey and speak about what she learned and what she is going to focus on moving forward.

The interview quickly turns emotional as Emma relives her best moments, worst moments, and talks about her hopes, dreams, and her family and friends.

“Every day I wake up and I only think about music,” she said. “Every Saturday I’ve sung on this stage, and it’s been marvellous. It’s a unique sensation… The public is wonderful. I miss them a lot. I hope that at least I can have my own concerts in the future,” she said.

She also spoke about the first thing she did after she was voted off the show

“The first thing I did when I was eliminated was to get some sushi – I love sushi! I called my family, friends, and now I’ll return to Malta, to my friends, my dog, my mum’s food – I’ve missed it so much! And the sea, the sand… Obviously I want to make music here, but also in Malta, because Malta is in my heart. I wanted to win this programme because it would be an honour for me,” she said.
