Malta might not have made it to the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final last night, but that hasn’t stopped our representative Sarah Bonnici from being proud of her stellar performance and Semi Final opener.

“I just woke up, clearly,” the young Gozitan singer said, uploading a video straight from bed moments ago. “I feel so grateful and thankful for everything. I just rewatched the performance and I’m so so happy and proud of the performance and of the whole team behind this beautiful Eurovision journey.”

“We obviously didn’t make it through to the Finals, but I’ve said this from the very beginning and I still really really believe it – for me, the most important thing was to deliver a performance which I can look back on and, in five years’ time, and ten years’ time, and whenever, just feel satisfied, feel proud and have no regrets,” she continued. “And that’s the exact feeling Im feeling. My heart is so full.”

“I’m rarely so satisfied, I’m very self-critical,” Sarah continued. “But I looked back on the performance and I said – we did that. And I’m very very happy and proud, and for me that is the most important thing.” Saying she was “flooded with support and messages”, the young singer went on to say she was “lost for words”… and this isn’t even the end for the surprises she has in store for all her followers.

“I have some exciting news actually, I just remembered now – I will be sharing today something super exciting today, so that will be my little treat to you guys, stay tuned” Sarah continued, smiling as she continued to thank everyone for all the support. “My heart is full. I love you all.”

Sarah put on an amazing show last night, with Malta’s Loop opening the night and even budging up the odds right after.

Congrats Sarah once again for making Malta proud!
