In a world where music is often about grand stages and massive productions, Offbeat Music Bar has introduced a refreshing, intimate series that strips performances down to their raw essence.

Welcome to Offbeat Sessions, a unique platform that showcases Maltese artists in a setting that highlights their talents and songwriting.

Filmed within the intimate atmosphere and impeccable acoustics of Valletta’s Offbeat Music Bar, these sessions allow for a close-up encounter with some of Malta’s most expressive artists.

The inaugural series of Offbeat Sessions features five exceptional Maltese acts, each bringing their unique sound and energy to the stage: Djun, Karmaġenn, Sean, Ella Puci, and Mariele.

First up: Djun

Djun is a Maltese pop group that marries ear-friendly hooks with poetic lyrics and an adventurous musicality. Formed in 2017, the band quickly became a favourite in the Maltese alternative rock scene. The group consists of Justin Galea (vocals), Ġużè Camilleri (drums), Ryen Refalo (guitar), Paul Torpiano (keyboards), and Charles Cassar (bass). For Offbeat Sessions, Djun performed their song It-Tabib TaBillejl, showcasing their unique blend of catchy melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
