The Malta Police Force has introduced seven new electric vehicles to the country’s roads, replacing the traditional police cars.

With an investment of over €300,000, these eco-friendly vehicles will be distributed to the Community Policing and Forensic Science Laboratory.

Four of these electric vehicles will be assigned to cover various localities including Rabat, Mdina, Dingli, Mtarfa, Msida, Gżira, Ta’ Xbiex, Marsaskala, and Paola. This will equip the Community Police Officers with more tools to reach diverse communities and enable more visible and continuous patrols in challenging areas.

Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà stated that in recent years, the Malta Police Force has undergone unprecedented investment. As a 24/7 operational entity, these electric vehicles will contribute to both a safer society and a better environment.

The vehicles are wrapped in the signature yellow and blue design of the police force.
