26-Year-Old Indian Diver Found Off Manoel Island Becomes Second Person To Die At Sea In 24 Hours
A 26-year-old Indian diver died off Manoel Island earlier today after he was spotted unconscious in the water.
The incident was brought to the Police’s attention at around 1:40 pm. The Civil Protection Department and the Armed Forces of Malta conducted a search before retrieving the man’s body.
The Indian national is the second victim to be taken at sea within the past 24 hours. Yesterday a 34-year-old American man was reported as missing after he went for a swim off Miġra l-Ferħa, Rabat. His body was retrieved by AFM earlier today.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
