The residents of St Vincent De Paul Long Term Care Facility were treated to a special performance this weekend, filling the halls with pure joy and excitement.

The students from the School of Performing Arts at the University of Malta gave a beautiful musical performance to the residents at the old people’s home, with images showing elderly residents dancing and clapping alongside the performers.

Under the artistic direction of Douglas Comley, supported by lecturers of the School, students from dance, theatre and music showcased their talents in a captivating performance entitled Collectively for Others.

“Thank you to interactive activities like today’s, put on by a group of young people from The School of Performing Arts University of Malta. Our seniors had so much fun following, even getting involved and dancing to the music in a wonderful atmosphere,” the home wrote on social media.

This event highlights the students’ commitment to community engagement and their dedication to using their artistic talents to bring smiles to others. This was an initiative part of the SPACE (School of Performing Arts Community Engagement) project which aims to respond to the varied needs and expectations of the community.
