Watch: Do Not Swim Here: Health Warning Issued For Wilġa Street Bay

A health warning has been issued for the waters close to Wilġa Street in St Julian’s.
The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health issued a statement to notify the public that bathing is not recommended in the area due to contaminated water affecting the bathing water quality.
Signs have been fixed in the area to notify bathers. When the quality is restored, the signs will be removed and the Directorate will issue another statement to notify the public.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta a few days ago shows the water of the bathing area having a green hue.
For further information, the public is kindly requested to contact the Environmental Health Directorate between 8am and 2.30pm on telephone number 21337333 or by email on [email protected].
