Watch: ‘Ugly Pig’ – Sunbather Caught On Camera Insulting Women Listening To Music In Ġnejna Bay
A woman in Ġnejna Bay was caught on camera insulting a group of women who were on the same beach sunbathing and listening to music – after allegedly having angrily demanded that they switch that music off, using racial slurs in the process.
“Had she approached me nicely,” said the woman who captured the footage to Lovin Malta, “I probably would have turned it off, even though it was not that loud.”
“She ended up turning on her music, and I didn’t say anything. That’s when she came up to us physically and started verbally abusing us.”
The woman, who allegedly arrived on the beach after this witness and her friends had already been there for some time, can be heard saying “you are really disgusting” and “you are an ugly pig, you spend your life sitting on your ass, instead of going swimming, and living a natural life”.
She appeared to be objecting, loudly, to the music being played a few metres away from her chosen sunbathing spot.
“You are a shame of human being,” she continued, “you will be fucked with your health all your life”.
The women being shouted at did not seem to want to escalate the confrontation, however they did respond, when they were called “disgusting”.
“Your hair is falling out, what you talking about?” one voice could be heard saying.
They also took objection to the woman having been sunbathing nude prior to the confrontation, which they said was illegal.
It is technically illegal to sunbathe nude in Malta, Ġnejna Bay is one of several secluded spots renowned for attracting nudists, and regulations against it are rarely enforced.
“I didn’t say anything about you sunbathing naked, because you can do what you want,” said the voice behind the camera.
“You can’t be nude on a beach but nobody’s stopping you girl, so don’t be talking to me about bullshit,” said another.
Lovin Malta spoke to the young woman who caught the insults on camera, for more details about what exactly happened.
“She was yelling out racial slurs and telling us to go back to our country even though I was literally born here. And she was also commenting on our bodies and how we look, calling us disgusting.”
While the woman continued to argue, more calmly, that this was a natural space to be enjoyed naturally, she had not approached respectfully enough for her desires to be considered.
“I’m going to listen to music and I do apologise about that. If you don’t like that, you can report it. This is a free country and I’m going to play my music, okay?”
She claimed that there was no slow escalation to the footage captured, but that the confrontation started at 100% strength.
“Her initial approach was ‘you fat Arab bitches, turn this off’,” claimed the witness.
She claims that after the incident occurred, she called the police and was told that the woman had no grounds to demand that they shut off their music.
