Your Dog Deserves A Summer Too: 16 Pet-Friendly Beaches You Can Enjoy Together
Let’s face it, your dog’s been staring out the window all year dreaming of a beach day. Well, it’s time to turn that dream into a splashy reality!
Since July 2023, a total of 16 beaches across Malta and Gozo have been officially recognised as dog-friendly, thanks to efforts by Animal Welfare Malta to make our island more inclusive for pets and their humans.
That’s 12 beaches in Malta and 4 in Gozo
Where you can safely bring your four-legged bestie along for a dip, a dig in the sand, or just some well-deserved chill time under the sun. Whether you’re a fan of rocky shores or sandy stretches, there’s a spot for every kind of pup.
But beach days with dogs come with a few responsibilities too. Make sure your pet is hydrated, doesn’t overheat and is always supervised – and yes, do clean up after them (we’re all trying to enjoy the sea breeze, not a sniff of regret).
So grab the leash, some treats and a towel, Malta’s coastline just got way more paw-some.
