Lovin Milied Is Back For Its 7th Edition And This Is How You Can Help
For its seventh year, Lovin Malta is starting the Christmas spirit by getting everyone in the mood.
#LovinMiliedChallenge, a Lovin Malta initiative, is soon to take place.
This year we are making it bigger and better and have partnered up with our friends at Vibe FM to ensure the challenge is the best one yet.
Christmas is a time to celebrate, give back, and spend time with those you love.
In collaboration with different NGOs, homes, and foundations, Lovin Malta and VIBE will provide holiday gift boxes to animals and individuals in need across a range of categories.
How can I help?
It’s simple, here’s how to make a Lovin Milied box:
- Grab a shoebox
- Wrap the base and lid separately in festive wrapping paper. There’s no need to seal the box
- Pick a gift box from the ones listed below and fill it with the items listed
- Write the gift box number clearly on the box and add a card with a personal message if you feel up to it
- Spread the Christmas cheer and get everyone you know involved by using the hashtag #LovinMiliedChallenge
Which box shall I prepare?
That’s entirely up to you but please choose from any of the below options:
Box 1 – Mother & Baby Box
- A Muslin
- Talcum Powder
- Pack Baby Wipes
- Scented Soap for Mum
- Christmas Decoration
- Christmas Themed Chocolate Treat
Box 2 – Kids Box (3-10)
- Soft Toy such as an animal soft toy, teddy bear, cartoon soft toy, snowman soft toy or similar
- Small Fun Present like a yoyo, skipping rope, toy animal/ dinosaur, a pack of cards
- Creativity Gift like crayons, colouring pencils, dried paint palette, activity book, colouring book, thin picture book, sticker book
- Christmas Decoration
- Christmas Themed Chocolate Treat
Box 3 – Teen Unisex Box (11-16)
- Earphones, pack of cards, wallet, tote bag or gadget
- Toiletries like shower gel, soap, hair brush, sponge, mask
- School supplies like a notebook, pens and pencils
- Warm Socks
- Christmas Decoration
- Christmas Themed Chocolate Treat
Box 4 – Elderly Citizen Box
- Cosy Lap Blanket
- Warm Unisex Slippers or Hot Water Bottle
- Toiletries like a scented soap or hand cream
- A Christmas card in an envelope to open. This can be signed or anonymous, completely up to you
- Christmas Decoration
- Christmas Themed Chocolate Treat
Box 5 – Care Package
- Pasta, Rice
- Canned Food
- Cereal
- Tea, Coffee, Powdered Milk
- Biscuits
- Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, sponge
Box 6 – Doggie or Cat Treat Box
- Wet Food, any brand

Are you a business or school? This is how you can help:
Lovin Malta has received some extremely generous donations in the past; for example, Purina Malta and Nestlé Collect recently donated a whopping €12,000 worth of pet food for abandoned animals, amounting to 20,000 meals for our four-legged friends. Keep me posted donated a box for each new listing they got and Gasan Foundation donated €500 worth of boxes.
We would love as many people, schools, and businesses as possible to join us in this initiative this time around.
