Where are these cribs?

It is simple, a QR Code has been generated so that people can view all the exhibitions on a map.

When will they be open for viewing?

Each Nativity crib participating in the competition will be exhibited and open to the public from Sunday 18th December 2022 till Sunday 8th January 2023

The opening hours will be between 5pm – 8pm, from Monday to Friday. The hours during Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays will be between 10am – 12pm.

Each applicant can keep the viewing place open for longer hours and/or more days than requested.

But that’s not all…

Apart from the 77 participants, 13 exhibitors took part in a nativity crib exhibition which will be placed at the Żejtun Parish Church.

These exhibitors had participated in a Masterclass and in several Workshops on the construction of nativity cribs.

During a press conference, Minister for Culture Owen Bonnici, thanked the Cultural Directorate for their work and said “these exhibitions help us to promote the culture of building cribs and traditional figurines, as well as help us show more appreciation towards the Intangible Cultural Heritage”.

The winners for each category of this competition will be announced on the 8th January 2023.
