Watch: Żabbar Football Nursery Lights Up The Night In Aid Of Puttinu Cares
Żabbar’s St Patrick’s Football Academy just lit up its football ground with an impressive display of colourful lights all for a good cause.
In the days leading up the the event, interested residents were encouraged to visit the academy’s facilities to be given a special envelope, each containing the name of a child from the Rainbow Ward at the Puttinu Cares Foundation.
The purpose was to buy a thoughtful gift for the child which would then be placed under the academy’s Christmas tree on 2nd December.
On the highly-anticipated night of the event, children from the nursery along with their families, coaches and other residents filled the complex, left their presents and counted down until the tree was lit up with beautiful shimmering lights.
In the leadup to the lights display, the Żabbar Scout Group also filled the air with a performance of Christmas tunes as attendees sang in unison. Safe to say, the night was one of pure festive cheer.
This marked the start of a series of event happening this festive season at the St Patrick’s Football Ground, with plenty of activities happening for other honourable causes.
