17-Year-Old Alleged Driver In Birkirkara Hit-And-Run To Appear In Court Today

The 17-year-old, allegedly behind the wheel of the car involved in the tragic Birkirkara crash that led to the death of 42-year-old Nepalese national Khim Bahadur Pun, is set to appear in court today.
The trial will begin at noon before Magistrate Charmaine Galea.
The fatal accident occurred early Sunday morning on Triq Salvu Psaila when a Maserati Levante collided with Pun’s Kymco motorbike.
Reports suggest that Pun’s motorbike was struck by the Maserati, resulting in his death at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders.
The teenager, along with two other passengers, fled the scene but was arrested shortly after by the police.
The 17-year-old faces charges in connection with the fatal incident, and investigations into the cause of the crash are still ongoing.
