23-Year-Old Man Charged With Forcing 15-Year-Old Girlfriend To Do Pornographic Videos

A 23-year-old Syrian national and Marsascala resident was charged on accusations of producing pornographic material with his former 15-year-old girlfriend, TVM News reported.
The minor reported her former boyfriend, with whom she had been in a relationship with for a year, alleging that during their relationship the young man used to force her to be part of pornographic activities.
Upon arrest, police found footage of the accused with his former girlfriend.
She went on to say that she was afraid that the accused would publish or share the material with third parties because their relationship had ended.
The young girl was found to have been living with the accused after she escaped from a children’s home. She began living there after being taken away from her parents through a care order.
She further told the police that the man kept her at his residence against her will.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and declared he was not requesting bail, with the Court issuing a protection order in favour of the victim and ordering a ban on the name of the defendant and the girl.
Police Inspectors Dorianne Tabone and John Spiteri, together with lawyers Etienne Savona and Michael Muscat from the Office of the Attorney General, prosecuted, and lawyer Rachel Tua represented the accused.
