Bormla Man To Be Arraigned Today For Stabbing Young Sisters In Their Marsa Home
The 43-year-old Bormla man who stabbed two young sisters, 12 and 15 years old, will be arraigned today at 1pm ahead of Duty Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo.
The younger sister had to be taken to the Intensive Therapy Unit at Mater Dei after allegedly being stabbed 17 times and sustaining serious injuries last Sunday in her home in Marsa.
The suspect was initially due to be arraigned yesterday at 5pm but reports state that he had to be temporarily hospitalised after complaining of chest pains.
The 15-year-old sustained grievous injuries in her hand while a 14-year-old boy who was present during the chaotic ordeal had to be treated for shock.
The suspect is reportedly the mother’s partner who was left with the children as she was out shopping at the grocer’s.
