Breaking: 226KG Drug Heist Suspects To Appear In Court Today
The police will be arraigning several individuals in court in connection with the theft of 226 kilos of cannabis resin from the custody of the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) last Sunday, TVM News reported.
So far, eight Maltese individuals have been arrested while 85 kilos of cannabis resin has been recovered. Yesterday’s intensive raids took place in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Marsa, Ħal Qormi, and Tal-Pietà.
The theft occurred during the night between Saturday and Sunday. The stolen drugs were part of more than four tonnes of cannabis resin seized by Customs at the Freeport last June.
