Jon Mallia Claps Back At Jason Micallef’s Threat To Sue Trudy Kerr
Popular Maltese podcaster Jon Mallia has taken to Facebook to counter a post made by Jason Micallef earlier today.
Micallef threatened to sue The She Word host Trudy Kerr for her video about the gravel in Ta’ Qali, calling it all “FAKE NEWS and Fat lies.”
Micallef seemed adamant, saying he will “fight with all his might,” and see Kerr in court.
Jon Mallia penned a post addressing Micallef where he said, “I hope what you wrote was in the heat of the moment and that you will retract it.”
If he doesn’t, Mallia told him to pay the lawyer himself instead of using the government’s tax money paid by the citizens to fund the lawsuit. “Taxes are not collected to protect your fragile ego, much less to abuse the citizen.”
Mallia said he will be putting aside a thousand euros to open a legal fund in case Micallef persists and urges anyone with money to spare “and is interested in ensuring that the country does not deteriorate further”, to do the same.
Jon Mallia expressed his full solidarity with Trudy Kerr and is ensuring we will not leave her alone.
“Democracy did not fall from the sky, and any attempt to erode it needs to be opposed immediately.”
“Jason Micallef, withdraw these threats now.”
