Keith Schembri, Yorgen Fenech Konrad Mizzi And More: Here’s Who’s Being Charged Over 17 Black Scandal

The charges related to the 17 Black scandal are being handed out this morning in court.

The inquiry, led by Magistrate Charmaine Galea since 2018, has found sufficient evidence to prosecute the former high-ranking officials.

Here is a list of the people arraigned this morning, facing charges over this scandal:

Keith Schembri

Former OPM Chief of Staff.

Konrad Mizzi

Former Energy Minister and Minister within the OPM.

Yorgen Fenech

Maltese business magnate, recently granted bail for other charges.

Brian Tonna

Former owner of accountancy firm Nexia BT. This company is also facing charges.

Karl Cini

Former partner at Nexia BT.

Paul Apap Bologna

Former Electrogas director

Mario Pullicino

Managing Director at OEGP Ltd. This company is also facing charges.

In addition to these names, companies Nexia BT, BTI Management, New Energy Supply Limited, OEGP Ltd are also being charged.

All of the above have been charged with money laundering, corruption, trading in influence, criminal association. Konrad Mizzi has also charged with perjury.
