Mohammed Ali Ahmed Elmushraty, widely known as ‘Lilu King’, has been granted bail once again, despite facing charges of assault and breaching multiple bail conditions, MaltaToday reported.

The latest development follows an incident in Sliema last October, where Elmushraty allegedly assaulted, injured, and threatened another man. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a misunderstanding in Arabic between the accused and the victim.

On Friday, Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo issued a court decree granting Elmushraty bail under a strict set of conditions. These include a €40,000 deposit and a personal guarantee amounting to €200,000.

In addition to the financial conditions, Elmushraty must abide by a court-imposed curfew, avoid contact with any witnesses, and stay away from Malta’s ports and airport.

Elmushraty is being represented by lawyers Marion Camilleri, Franco Debono, and Jose Herrera.

This is not the first time the accused has been granted bail. He has previously been charged with breaching bail conditions in separate legal proceedings.
