‘Lilu King’ Jailed Again Following AG Appeal

Mohamed Ali Ahmed Elmushraty, better known as Lilu King, has been re-arrested after the Attorney General successfully appealed a decision to grant him bail.
The Criminal Court overturned the 16th May ruling, which had released Elmushraty on a €40,000 deposit and €200,000 personal guarantee over an alleged assault in Sliema last October.
This marks the second time his bail has been revoked. The AG cited repeated breaches of bail conditions, a risk of reoffending, and his criminal record. Elmushraty has denied the charges.
He is also facing separate proceedings linked to money laundering, tax evasion, organised crime and drug trafficking.
Updated: Lilu King has stated that he was not arrested again after his recent bail hearing last week.
“I was waiting for the final decision inside the prison,” Elmushraty posted on Instagram.
“I respect the court decision,” he concluded.
