Man Jailed For Seven Years After Defiling Seven-Year-Old Girl In Fgura Park
A man was jailed for seven years after defiling a seven-year-old girl playing hide-and-seek in a playground in Fgura.
Sentenced on Monday, Louis Calleja lured the girl and threatened her before exposing himself indecently.
During the court proceedings, Police Inspector Antonello Magri testified that a woman had filed a report at the Paola Police Station on October 27, 2023.
She claimed that while her five-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter were playing in the playground at Pjazza Redent Gauci in Fgura, a man carrying a yellow bag approached the girl and made inappropriate sexual advances.
He was also found guilty of offending public morals and decency, reoffending, and violating a probation order, but was cleared of charges related to the illegal possession of a knife and firearm.
