Police Arrest Three Suspects In Ongoing Motorcycle Theft Ring

Ongoing investigations related to a criminal ring involved in the theft of motorcycles from various localities have continued to bear fruit, as the police have arrested three more individuals allegedly involved in the thefts.
During police surveillance on Thursday afternoon, one of the suspects, a 19-year-old young man, was observed riding a motorcycle that had been reported stolen. He was subsequently stopped and arrested.
Further investigations revealed that a 14-year-old boy was also involved in the motorcycle theft and was arrested shortly afterwards.
From there, the police went to a field in the Ħas-Saptan area, where another 18-year-old youth, also allegedly involved in the motorcycle thefts, was arrested. He was spotted working on two other motorcycles, which later turned out to have been stolen.
Additional searches conducted by the police recovered five more motorcycles that were also allegedly stolen.
The three individuals are being held in the Floriana police lock-up and are expected to be brought before the court today around noon (12:00 PM) in front of Magistrate Dr. Claire Stafrace Zammit.
