Salvu Mangion, accused of the murder of 33-year-old Kyle Mifsud, has been granted bail under strict conditions.

Bail was granted against a €10,000 deposit and provide a €30,000 personal guarantee, while also adhering to several restrictions. These include avoiding Birgu, appearing in court when summoned, not leaving the country, avoiding contact with prosecution witnesses and signing in at Ħal Qormi police station every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The bail decision was made by Magistrate Marse-Ann Farrugia, who took into account Mangion’s conduct and the circumstances surrounding the case. The court also determined that there is sufficient evidence to formally charge Mangion according to TVM.

This ruling comes as the compilation of witness statements continues in Hall 11 of the Courts of Justice, part of the ongoing proceedings in this high-profile murder case.
