‘These Families Have To Live With Killers Running Freely’: Matthew Caruana Galizia Comments On Court’s Bail Decisions

Matthew Caruana Galizia has commented on bail decisions and court delays that leave grieving families having to “live with killers running around freely”.
“On the same day in December there were two news reports: Nazzareno Dalli was released on bail after trying to stab his girlfriend’s daughters to death and separately the killer of Chantelle Chetcuti, who stabbed her to death in cold blood in front of a bar, was also released on bail and given permission to travel,” he wrote on Facebook.
“In both cases the families have to live with killers running around freely and like us have no idea when the trial will take place. There are countless other examples. That day I messaged the prime minister to express my shock. He didn’t even bother replying.”
