Animal rights activists have spoken out following this morning’s protest outside the law courts, where they rallied against the man accused of killing several cats in Sliema.

Shortly after the protest, the 31-year-old Japanese man appeared in court and pleaded guilty. He was denied bail and will remain under arrest until sentencing, which is set for 15th September.

The activists shared how they will continue working to protect animals and how they want to ensure that everyone understands that the Maltese community will not tolerate any harm to animals even if they are not indoor pets.
