Creative Europe is the European Commission’s flagship programme to support the culture and audiovisual sectors, and they’ve just had their fund massively increased to €2.4 billion for projects to support creative industries.
That’s from interior design to video-gaming, in theatre and the performing arts, film production, fashion or flamenco, and a glorious rainbow of ideas in between.
Yes, this is a giant technicolour dream-coat of a fund that’s now open: the scope is big and bold, and it’s set to see the arts and media in Malta blossom over the next few years.
If your idea will promote culture and heritage and language, encourage cultural and linguistic diversity; increase the economic potential and competitiveness of the media, cultural and creative sectors; help your field become more sustainable and inclusive, or increase your digital offering then (almost) Any Dream Will Do!
And here’s something else to really sing about: if you’re applying for funding for a project from that €2.4 billion on offer, because Creative Europe is one of the best EU funded projects, they will cover up to 90% of the costs for you.
