Courses related to lace-making are being offered by the Centre for Liberal Arts and sciences of the University of Malta and these courses are to still be available in the future, as discussed by Prof. von Brockdorrf in his introductory speech at the event.

Renowned Gozitan artist Chev. Paolo Camilleri Cauchi was invited for the event, where he delivered an interesting lecture on the technique he uses for drawing lace on portrayed eclesiastics and religious statues.

Numerous lace makers and friends attended the event and visited the exhibitions of contemporary lace master-pieces and projects produced by students from the Centre for Liberal Arts and Sciences. The biggest attraction was the gathering of student and experienced lace makers from Koperattiva, together sharing their experience in the making lace on the “trajbu”.

Would you ever try Gozo lace-making?
