Absolutely. Positively. Gorgeous.

Our very own Miss Universe Malta, Beatrice Njoya, continues making waves overseas for the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico

With countless of activities and events taking place before the final standings happening tomorrow, Beatrice has been proudly representing our island every step of the way, having appeared on one of Mexico’s most renowned talk shows just last week.

In her most recent endeavour, she sported a beautiful and elegant costume depicting our country’s love for the ocean, made by Malta’s very own and very talented Tanya Grech.

From insignias to patterns to the overall aesthetic, the costume just screams “Malta!”

“Living in Malta offers a unique blend of sun-drenched landscapes, rich historical tapestry, and a vibrant maritime culture,” the post made by Miss Universe Malta Team read, “Maritime in Malta is a heritage that dates to ancient civilisations since Malta was considered a perfect trading hub.”

The getup is not just classy, but also educational, highlighting our island’s extensive history and relationship with the sea surrounding it.

From being a central trading hub in ancient history, to an ideal spot for respite and sport, our waters are a staple of our identity.

Well done to Beatrice and the team for showing off our culture to the world.
