Nate was one of the two contestants, and the only original cast member, to be selected to leave the villa – alongside Soulayma – after the female cast members decided which of the men had to go.

Another original contestant, Sabrina, has already left of her own volition.

Completely false rumours about Nate had circulated very early in the show, but they were quickly dispelled. Nate’s struggle to connect on a deeper level with any of the women he’d been coupled with ultimately proved to be his downfall.

Still, Nate isn’t beating himself up about who he was on the show.

“I’m very happy with the messages I’ve received – and even more so because, from the beginning to the end of this adventure, I’ve been true to the character I am in reality.”

Even though he’s been eliminated, Nate’s departure has been received with a huge outpouring of appreciation for Love Island Malta’s horse-meat fuelled man, and he will clearly be missed by many.
