Watch: ‘Hold Your Breath’ – Woody Harrelson Underwater Thriller Filmed Entirely In Malta Unleashes Heart-Pounding Trailer
A heart-pounding film based on an extraordinary true story and filmed entirely in Malta is coming to cinemas next February… and it just got its first trailer.
Starring beloved actor Woody Harrelson and also featuring Marvel’s Simu Liu, Cliff Curtis and Finn Cole, the film follows “seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.”

The real-life saturation diving accident goes all the way back to 2012, when Chris Lemons had his umbilical cable severed and became trapped around 100 metres under the sea without heat or light, and with only about five minutes of breathing gas in his backup oxygen tank.
Described as “an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible”, Last Breath is actually listed as a documentary-thriller, and is based on the 2019 documentary with the same name.
Directed by Alex Parkinson (who co-directed the original documentary), the film promises to be as tense as they get. “It’s still one of those things, where people don’t know how he survived,” Parkinson told Deadline of the extraordinary true story.
