Watch: Thousands Celebrate Naxxar’s Rescheduled Feast Ahead Of Storm Daniel
No storm is stopping any feast… especially Naxxar’s.
Thousands of people headed to Naxxar to celebrate the rescheduled feast last night.
After the predicated Storm Daniel that will be hitting the islands throughout this week, Naxxar’s Għaqda Mużikali Marija Bambina Banda Vittorja stated that ‘due to the weather forecast, the mechanised ground fireworks will happen on the 4th of September rather than the 6th,” and the feast enthusiasts didn’t disappoint.
Last night, the band club shared an insane bird’s eye view photo showing Naxxar’s pjazza filled with people, “24 hours ago… no description needed!”
Besides the mechanised ground fireworks, Naxxar went all out with fireworks, a victory pyro-musical show, and a youth march and celebrated like there was no tomorrow.
Predicted to hit the Maltese islands this week, Storm Daniel is expected to bring powerful Force 6 Grigal winds which will have a particularly devastating effect on the islands’ eastern coast.
Malta’s Armed Forces also released a statement following a rescue operation in Sliema yesterday, urging people to be careful of the incoming rough seas which are set to hit Malta in the coming days.
