The Maltese group that won the best overall contribution award at this year’s London Design Biennale shared their reaction with Lovin Malta after being awarded first place.

“We’re very moved and honoured that what we created resonated so strongly, and in a very provocative way. We’re very proud that we got to showcase Malta and its true identity in a new and refreshing way,” said designer Anthony Bonnici.

This was Malta’s second time participating in the prestigious Biennale and this time it took home the gold. They went on to thank their contributors and collaborators who helped them throughout the adventure they ventured on.

More than just a memorial, URNA is a challenge to our modern rituals around death. It’s a reminder that everything we built, even in grief, is temporary.

Congratulations to the team!
