Explore Malta’s Performing Arts: Free Workshops At NAPA Season Launch

Malta’s National Agency for the Performing Arts (NAPA) is officially launching the 2025/26 season for its three national companies, KorMalta, Teatru Malta, and ŻfinMalta and for the first time ever, the public is being invited behind the scenes.

The two-day launch event, held under the patronage of President Myriam Spiteri Debono, will take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September at MCAST, Paola.

Founded in 2023, NAPA serves as Malta’s central institution for the development and promotion of the performing arts, overseeing Teatru Malta, ŻfinMalta, and KorMalta. NAPA ensures each company maintains its artistic identity while fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation and sustainability, raising the profile of Malta’s performing arts both locally and internationally.

The launch celebrates connection, creativity, and collaboration, giving visitors the chance to explore the inner workings of the performing arts through free interactive workshops, live open rehearsals and informal sessions, performances by national companies, and opportunities to meet and engage with artists and creatives.

 

Whether you’re a student, educator, artist or simply curious about the performing arts, this event provides an immersive opportunity to interact with the visionaries shaping Malta’s cultural scene.Dominic Galea, CEO of NAPA, commented:
