Esplora, Malta’s Interactive Science Centre, has officially launched its Summer Programme 2025 under the banner of Xjenza Malta. Running from 1st July to 28th September, the programme offers a season of fun and educational activities for children and families, all centred around science, exploration and curiosity. These science shows and workshops change every 2 to 3 weeks to keep visits fresh and dynamic.

This year, Esplora introduces a dynamic rotating theme structure, featuring topics such as space, nature, food science, sport and Maltese traditional feasts. The centre will host interactive science shows, hands-on workshops, planetarium experiences and access to over 200 exhibitions in a fully air-conditioned, family-friendly environment.

Activities are tailored for children aged two to 14, with a focus on inspiring creativity, imagination and independent learning through playful science education.

Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti, praised the programme, saying: “Esplora plays a key role in engaging young people with science through accessible and entertaining programmes. The Summer Programme is a brilliant example of how informal learning environments can spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for science. I thank the Esplora team for their dedication in inspiring future thinkers and innovators in the most inclusive way.”

Mary-Ann Cauchi, Head of Esplora, added: “This year’s Summer Programme is designed to ignite wonder and exploration. At Esplora, we are committed to creating meaningful science learning opportunities that are innovative, inclusive and fun for everyone who walks through our doors.”

Through this initiative, Esplora continues to offer an engaging alternative for families during the summer months, staying true to its mission of making science more accessible to everyone, and fostering knowledge, participation and discovery in a welcoming environment.
