Lovin Malta’s latest documentary ‘Life Line’ sheds a well-deserved spotlight on Malta’s own healthcare workers – specifically Mater Dei’s emergency medical team.

Saving lives is part of the daily reality for Malta’s emergency medical team, who work in a job where a few seconds can make all the difference between life and death.

The documentary reveals the daily lives of Malta’s emergency medical team, featuring interviews with some of the members on the realities of the job.

”Worst part of the job? Personally speaking, it’s all these calls we get regarding intoxications, teens, that use up our time… in two or three hours, you see them leaving as if nothing happened,” says Emergency Ambulance Respondent Josef Vella.

The documentary highlights both the downsides of the job, as well as the satisfaction that it brings at times.

”When someone is still young I feel like it affects me more,” nurse Maria Spagnol claims when talking about a two-year-old girl they weren’t able to save.
