‘We Must Remain Calm’: Education Minister Urges Parents To Follow Authorities’ Guidelines Amid Bomb Scares

Education Minister Clifton Grima has urged parents to remain calm and follow the authorities guidelines in light of recent bomb threats against several local schools.

“As a father, all this affects me too, but we must remain calm and continue to follow the guidance of the authorities,” Grima wrote on social media.

Grima concluded by thanking the different forces working to handle this situation.

Five schools were targeted by these threats arriving via email, according to the Times of Malta.

Students in both private and Church schools has to be evacuated from schools in Naxxar, Sliema, St Julian’s, Pieta and Ħamrun.

Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School and St Michael’s Foundation school in Pembroke were both evacuated.
