Watch: Artist-Activist Rachelle Deguara To Contest MEP Election With ADPD
Activist and artist Rachelle Deguara has announced she will contest the upcoming European Parliament election with ADPD.
Deguara already has some political experience as a former head of ADPD’s youth wing.
However, she is best known in the arts sphere – as an interdisciplinary artist, a curator, and as a rapper who performs under the stage name REA.
She has also been involved in activism, including with the NGO Young Progressive Beings.

“I have decided to take this step after actively volunteering with various organisations over the past ten years that share similar principles to the ADPD party,” Deguara said.
“I am grateful and honoured to join the ADPD party and work alongside exceptional people who know how to do politics with care. I have been active with several organisations with values and principles close to ADPD over the past 10 years.”
ADPD leader Sandra Gauci praised Deguara as a “very good asset” for her party.
