‘He’s The Man’: James Ryder Holds Malta’s First Political Rave

MEP candidate James Ryder Muscat’s Political Rave last night gave us something very different to the traditional mass meeting, with a stellar line-up and a night filled with entertainment.

Hosted by Dan Xuereb, the rave took place at Tigullio and featured artists Radju Ħaj, Owen Luellen, Lapes and Mykill. The event lasted till around 3am, and was free of charge and open to all. From political remixes from Radju Ħaj, to rap performances, Ryder’s political rave had it all.

Ryder’s entertaining form of a political gathering isn’t something we’re all used to seeing, especially with the MEP elections just round the corner. His speech was preceded and followed by live performances, something his guests enjoyed and cheered for.

“The government thinks that you have no voice, let me hear you shout. That shout is power. That shout is change. Use that voice to shout at the establishment and show them that you are a voice to be reckoned with. A vote for me will carry your voice so that it is heard in Europe.”

Figures such as Jon Mallia and MEP candidate Arnold Cassola also attended the political rave, showing support for the comedian.

“A vote for me is a f*** you to the establishment. Do not let them silence you, your voice is power,” stated Muscat.
