Thomas Bajada Confirmed As Labour Candidate For European Parliament Election
The Labour Party has confirmed Thomas Bajada as a candidate for the upcoming European Parliament election.
Born in Gozo in 1994, Bajada studied biology, chemistry and ocean governance at university and currently works as a fisheries technical attaché within the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU.
He previously worked as a political coordinator within the parliamentary secretariat for agriculture, fisheries and animal rights.
Bajada has been involved in activism for a while, serving as vice-president and secretary of the Soċjetà Filarmonika Leone band club and the Aurora opera house, as secretary general of the National Youth Council, and as a coordinator of the student organisation Pulse.
Bajada joins incumbent MEP Alex Agius Saliba, Clint Azzopardi Flores, Daniel Attard, Jesmond Bonello, Steve Ellul, Marija Sara Vella Gafa, Claudette Abela Baldacchino and Jesmond Marshall on the PL ticket.
