“In a time of great disillusionment with Malta’s current political class, Cassola is pitching himself as the ideal independent candidate to herald a cessation of the two party monopoly,” a statement by his team reads.

Cassola’s campaign has been rapidly gaining momentum, with a significant number of volunteers joining his team in the past week alone. This surge in support underscores the growing enthusiasm for his bid to secure a seat in the EP.

His manifesto boasts a number of policy proposals aimed at cleaning the environment, strengthening governance and rule of law, and reforming the economic model to serve the people.
