Ashton Kutcher Meets EP President Roberta Metsola To Stamp Out Child Abuse

Film and TV star Ashton Kutcher met with MEPs and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to discuss the essential work of fighting against child abuse and trafficking – and how Europe needs to help.

Kutcher’s Team Thorn non-profit has recently raised over US $1,000,000 in support of the actor running the New York City marathon later this year.

Funds raised through this campaign will be put towards “ending the viral spread of abuse,” finding “children exploited in the internet’s darkest corners” and “eliminating child sex abuse from the internet.”

“We need your help, every single dollar that we raise is going to go towards building software tools so that kids being abused today will someday have the chance to just be kids,” explained the That ‘70s Show star.

“I hope you can join us. We’ll see you on the finish line.”

Metsola met with Kutcher – who apparently asked the EP President for a selfie – and discussed Europe’s efforts to “protect children off and online.”

In a post to social media, Metsola added “we share a determination to stamp out these crimes. To make children’s world a little bit safer.“
