‘Forever In Our Hearts’: Mother Pays Tribute To Six-Year-Old Zaylen After Tragic Loss

Six-year-old Zaylen tragically drowned on Sunday and his mother, Francesca Borg, has taken to Facebook to write a statement.
“With the heaviest heart, I share the unimaginable loss of my beloved son, Zaylen — my sweet, joyful boy who brought light, laughter, and love into every moment of our lives. At just six years old, Zaylen touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit will live on forever,” wrote Borg.
Zaylen’s mother announced that the funeral mass will be held at Għargħur Parish Church on Saturday 28th June at 8.00am. She asked for those attending to wear white and blue, “colours that reflect his pure soul and the brightness he brought into our world.”

To honour Zaylen’s life, Borg announced that a new playground will be built at Hand in Hand, a place where he spent many happy days. “It will be called Zaylen’s Playground — a space filled with joy, laughter, and play… just the way he would have wanted,” wrote Zaylen’s mother.
Instead of flowers, Borg appealed to attendees to contribute to this special project should they wish to do so.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, your presence, and your prayers during this most difficult time,” continued Borg.
“Zaylen, you are forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts,” wrote Borg as she finished her statement.
Lovin Malta extends its deepest condolences to Zaylen’s family.
