British Spy Series Secret Service Filming Across Malta With Over 120 Locals Involved

Another international production has landed in Malta and this time, it’s ITV’s upcoming British spy drama Secret Service.
Filming is currently underway at iconic locations including Valletta, Birgu, Senglea and Ħad-Dingli, with the production bringing together a crew of around 150 people, 122 of whom are Maltese and Gozitan.
The series, adapted from ITV journalist Tom Bradby’s novel of the same name, is being directed by James Marsh and supported through the Malta Film Commission’s cash rebate programme.
Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici, along with Film Commissioner Johann Grech, visited the Gardjola Gardens in Senglea where part of the production is taking place.
Filming began in London and Malta earlier this year, making Secret Service one of eight international productions currently in motion on the islands.
