Valletta is set to host the 5th edition of the EUNIC European Film Festival between 23rd and 28th September.

Organised by the Malta Cluster of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture), the festival celebrates cinema as a way to spark dialogue, share stories and highlight Europe’s diversity.

This year’s edition will see 11 screenings take place over six days at Spazju Kreattiv – and tickets are completely free.

Each film offers a different perspective on contemporary Europe, exploring its people, landscapes, challenges and triumphs, while showing the common threads that connect us across borders.

Films will be presented by the embassies of the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Spain, as well as the Alliance Française, Arts Council Malta, the European Commission Representation, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura – and, for the first time, the Australian High Commission, marking the festival’s growing global outlook.

Tickets can be booked through the Spazju Kreattiv website.
