Land Of The Stars? Jason Statham Spotted Filming Off The Coast Of Malta
Malta keeps attracting all kinds of big Hollywood names and it seems like the next star to bless our island is none other than Jason Statham!
Jason Statham of Fast and Furious and Expendables fame has been spotted in Malta for his upcoming action film ‘Mutiny’.
While on set for the film, the UK star snapped a photo of himself behind the scenes on a cargo freighter off the coast of some island.
Commenters claimed they recognised the distant cliffs in the picture as those of our very own nation’s, with some even stating that they’re not the most flattering parts of the island.
The film is said to revolve around Statham’s character, Cole Reed, who’s been blamed for the murder of his billionaire boss, causing him to go on the run and uncover a wider conspiracy.
And although the primary filming location is set to be the United Kingdom, sources have said that Malta could potentially contribute as additional filming spot.
From the highly-anticipated Gladiator 2 to Jurassic World in recent years, Malta continues to be cement itself as a prime location for Hollywood blockbusters.
