Malta takes centre-stage in the latest American feature film, Classified, featuring a wide crew of Maltese talent.

Snippets and leaks from the film’s production were already shared since its announcement earlier last year, featuring Hollywood stars Tim Roth, Aaron Eckhart and Abigail Breslin at the Grand Harbour, Fort St Elmo and many other landmarks.

One look at the film’s IMDB page will uncover a cast and crew full of Maltese names, making up nearly 80% of the team. From stunt performers to make-up, to even production design by veteran art director Johann Scerri, who has an extensive list of credits such as the 2016 Assassin’s Creed film and 2013’s World War Z, the film truly is a testament of local talent.

Talented members from local stunt studio Phantom Stunts HQ, run by Morgan Chetcuti, worked on the action sequences for the film and have recently shared some behind the scenes from their time during production.

In a story by Matthew Camilleri, a group of stuntmen can be seen striking matrix-like poses while sporting costumes that were also arranged by local designers.

He also credits fellow performer Pep Dalli, who on her own page, shared a clip of her being run over by Morgan on the set of the film.

Photographer Mark Cassar also shared some of the fruits of his labours in the promotional posters that featured his photographic handiwork.

Malta and its talented residents just keep wowing on the big screen, jumping from blockbuster to blockbuster, forever cementing the country as a cinematic hotspot.

A big well-done to everyone involved!
