A Doughnut Burger Is On The Menu Of This Gourmet Burger And Hot Dog Bar Opening Soon in Ħamrun
What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster?
You're going to want to read every line of this article... unless you're a veggie/vegan, then this piece is probably best suited for you.
Within a couple of weeks from now, a new burger and hot dog bar will be gracing the streets of Ħamrun with its presence. And judging by what they have lined up, we bet our ass it's gonna be a good'un!
Bandit is the brainchild of three BFF's (Gareth Bartolo, Clint Tabone and Matthew Piccinino) who spent most of their childhood in Ħamrun and wanted to give something back to the hood. And what better gift than the gift of foo?.
The menu is drool-inducing and we're shamelessly already getting our elasticated pants out as we speak.
First of all before we go on, there is a freakin' doughnut burger on the menu and this beast uses a grilled sugar-glazed doughnut as buns (holding a patty, bacon, cheese and ketchup)!
All their patties are made with beef short rib and brisket. The burger list is vast and includes the Basic (a name that doesn't do the 150g patty, tomato, onion jam and house sauce burger enough justice), the mushroom & truffle (180g patty, mushrooms, cheese, fried egg, onion jam, truffle mayo), a brie & bacon burger and a bourbon pork burger.
But Bandit also have a Spartan Specials menu where your burger experience will surely be upgraded
Apart from the aforementioned doughnut burger, there's also the Holy Trinity (180g beef patty, buttermilk chicken, bacon, cheese, pickles, mayo), a pork and beef burger and the Pork Belly Slabs (two pork belly slabs, fried egg, sriracha mayo).
You'll be able to wrap ypur lips around four kinds of hot dogs with different toppings such as chili con carne, fries and onions and jalapeños with guac and crushed tortilla chips.
The four-item brekkie menu will have a four stack French toast with peanut butter and Nutella.
