A New Street Food Truck Has Arrived In Malta And It’s Got Heartwarming Grub For Days
Thankfully for us lovers of street food, Malta has many superb restaurants on wheels. So as you can imagine, we were pretty excited when we heard the news of a brand new one that just launched towards the end of 2018.
Sofrito (which comes from the Catalan verb sofrier meaning to gently fry) serves up some hearty home-style dishes which are already proving popular with the locals.

Let’s talk about their starter dishes…
They offer dishes to whet the appetite such as duck spring rolls, falafel and calamari!
Their Piadinas are on point
Their piadinas include the duck kind (shredded duck, sweet chilli jam and fresh coriander), cornfried chicken, beef tagliata (seared beef, fried onions and tomatoes) and pork belly. Yes, please.
Eggcellent eggrolls…
Choose from the cheesesteak eggroll (beef chunks, cheddar, onions, green peppers wrapped in golden pancake) or the lamb & lentil which is a golden pancake filled with lamb, onions, garlic, lentils and spices.
Hearty salads…
Their salad game is strong.
Grab a healthy smoked duck breast salad, cured salmon salad, calamari salad or beef tagliata for that perfetly balanced lunch.
A souper dumpling soup…
They have a red Thai curry soup loaded with chicken dumplings. Yum!

Sofrito is promising its clients a healthy start to 2019
“We’re adding plent of new items to our menu to help you kickstart a healthy 2019,” the food truck concluded last December by telling their fanbase.
