‘Are You Ready, Malta?’: Żabbar To Attempt National Record For Pasta Eating (Yes, Really)
Love it or hate it, we are old-fashioned gluttons. Whether it’s the heat or the surrounding salty sea that opens up our appetite, our one portion of food can serve many people in other countries. But have you got what it takes to go so much further, that you actually break a national record?
If yes, then the time is now, as Żabbar is hosting an għaġinata, or pasta night, with the intention of breaking a national record of pasta eating.
“We all know the Maltese love eating” says Julian Scicluna, a Żabbar local councilor.
“There will be a choice of four different types of pasta, a buffet, and we will be making use of biodegradable and compostable cutlery and utensils”, he added.
The (hopefully) record-breaking event will be held Żabbar’s MMG Bar & Bistro on 8th June and costs €14 for Adults and €7 for children under 12. Which, for more pasta than you could ever want, sounds very good!
