Blink And You Might Miss This Lebanese Restaurant In Mellieħa

Byblos Lebanese Restaurant opened its doors in Mellie?a last summer and we’re honestly not sure how we’ve missed it until now.

Located at the newly refurbished LABRANDA Riviera Hotel & Spa, it promises to offer authentic dishes that fly the flag for Lebanon and the Middle East, thanks to Chef Chadi’s knowledge of Lebanese cooking using fresh and local produce.

Beyond the food, though, the interior design is impressive on its own.

You’ll find bright multi-coloured chairs, typical Lebanese chandeliers and tiles as well as red fez hats adorning the walls.

The menu offering is pretty vast and you’ll find your popular Lebanese/Middle Eastern starters such as hummus (four different kinds to be exact), stuffed vine leaves, falafel dishes, frakeh (traditional Lebanese raw meat with spicy bulgur) and samkeh harra (poached white fish with a spicy tomato-vegetable sauce, topped with coriander).

The main menu includes shish tawouk (chicken breast cubes marinated with Lebanese spices and garlic paste), lamb chops Lebanese style, kafta (minced lamb and beef meat served with tahini and parsley-sumac onion) as well as other seafood dishes and a mixed grill.

If you want a speedier meal, you can opt for their selection of Lebanese wraps, salads and soups.
